So, for the last week or so, I have been having waves of nausea and dizziness from time to time, to the point that I need to lay down or its all over. I have occational cramping in my pelvic area, as well as more frequent headaches. I have always had a heavy period even after both my kids. Last week it lasted for only a day and a half...and was light for the most part...I do have a Minera IUD in place but am beginning to think that I may be pregnant. Although with both of my kids my period just didnt show up...Just curious what every one else thinks.

  1. Why do people always ask these questions? Just go and take a test...

  2. Well a pregnancy test might be helpful, otherwise go see your doctor!

  3. Maybe your IUD is causing PID?

  4. not sure.. do a pregnancy test or see your doctor, they will no more than people on the internet :)

  5. While a missed period is usually a sign of pregnancy, it is not always the case.  I had 3 periods with my second pregnancy, and didn't find out I was pregnant until I was ELEVEN weeks!  But the symptoms you describe are CLEARLY an indication that something is not right/ normal...Does sound like pregnancy.  Get thee to your gyno, stat!!

  6. Yes you are pregnant, I can see by the way you type. You should also watch your blood pressure, I see that is a like high too. :)

  7. Let's break it down...

Nausea is a symptom of pregnancy, for sure. You know this, as you've had at least two pregnancies. Do you feel the same way you did when you were pregnant before? Not all pregnancies are created equally, but it might be good to think back. Dizziness not so much, but it certainly can be. Cramping? Sure...but that can be a symptom of a lot of different things, pregnancy included. Bleeding can be implantation bleeding, or your period, or a number of other things.

The sad thing is, birth control methods ( no matter how careful/responsible we are, damnit!) do sometimes fail.

I'd take a pregnancy test stat. Then get to your doc even if you've got a negative result. There could very well be something going on.

    Good luck!

  8. I had an IUD also, I know there are risk's associated with them. If you are pregnant you have to get it removed asap.(the IUD not the baby lol) I would see your Dr to make sure you don't have an infection or negative reaction. Also, I hear that every pregnancy is different ( I only have 1 child) and I wouldn't rule out appendicitis. You seem to be feeling too ill to let it go. Its obviously stressing you out so I would get checked out. There could possibly all kinds of stuff going on down there. (Women always get the raw deal, that's why we are the stronger s*x) Take care.
