Whats going on with the RL world cup???

How mickey mouse is this going to be? some players can play for differant countries! I reckon if you had a chinese take away in the last 6 months you would be eligible to play for China!!! 1 dog, 1 bone, why don't they just play tri nations like the Union crowd!!!

Apparently you can play for Lebanon if one of them drove your taxi home from the pub last night.

World Cup, where you were born, full stop. Takes away all the anomolies of where granny came from or who's shagging who.

i should be easy. You can only play for a country if your are born there. That way it is simple. Otherwise it is not the countries team. It is a bunch of people paid to play for a country.

I agree totally. Anecdotally you here of  advertising in ethnically based Australian newspapers to get players for some of the countries like Italy or Lebanon.

The whole thing is a joke when compared to the RWC.

They play a tri series every year at the end of the NRL season.

The "world cup" is going to be a joke. Its probably an attempt by administrators to convince the players that RL is a global game and that it has the same lure as rugby union
