Whats going to happen?....i ate pudding a year over the expiration date!?

i made some instant pudding, and i read the expiration date wrong, it was reall OCT 23 07, instead of OCT 23 08! thats really old. it was kinda lumpy but tasted fine....am i going to get food poisoning?

Don't worry, you will not get food poisoning or any stomach upset. There is nothing in the ingredients of the pudding that "go bad". All foods have expirations on them.

The ones to be MOST concerned about: Milk products such as Milk, yogurt, cottage cheese. Also eggs and any type of meat. These are the main sources of food poisoning or "spoiled foods."

You will be fine. The ingredients in instant pudding mix are not active or alive.

i learned that most food in cans or boxes are good for a year or two past the date- it slowly loses nutritional value, though.
