It come in little plastic packets and uses mouth trays. It says use 1 hour but Ive done it for a few hours at a time before. I want to get as much use out of 5 single-use packets as possible because this stuff is really expensive amd I'm broke. this time i completely dried my teeth before applying it and after i put the mouthtrays in stuffed my mouth with tissue paper I keep changing so no spit at all gets in the trays. Its called White Brilliance and uses 16% Carbamide Peroxide. How long can I safely leave the trays in and what will happen if I overdo it?

  1. Hi there, think about it, the stuff that you use changes the color of your teeth, that means theres something there really strong that does that, i would be thinking twice about sticking something like that into my mouth to begin with let alone going beyond their recommendations.

  2. Oh wow. You're going to have some super sensitive teeth! They probably won't get much whiter than they would if you followed the instructions. But, they'll be so sensitive that if the wind blows, it'll hurt your teeth. Literally. I've overdone it before and I know from personal experience.

  3. your teeth will disolve dude

  4. ever seen that friends episode where ross leaves it on a while and they are super white and glow?

    hehe.

    that probably wont happen.

but honestly as long as the directions tell you to leave them on should be good, because it really wont work over a certain point.

and it will make the discolorations that are natural on teeth be more noticable.

and the chemicals will eat away at your enamal which will lead to more teeth problems.

i understand you want the most out of it, but i really would leave them on the directed time.

    good luck!

  5. if you leave it on for a really long time it will make your teeth really sensitive

  6. Do not use chemicals for a long time. The enamel on the teeth will get spoiled. and it will cause serious damage to the teeth.

  7. I don't advise leaving it in more than 3-4 hours. The bleaching products in those can weaken your enamel of your teeth....don't overdo it. And don't do it more than once a month or so, either. They will also cause sensitivity and irritation of your gums...which could lead to gingivitis issues....which you DO NOT WANT, believe me.

  8. Now why do you think the directions state that you should only use it for one hour?  Does that suggest there might be a safety issue here?

  9. it will wear down your teeth and make them easier to chip or brake  follow the instructions and you'll have smooth sailing =)
