For starters, the glaciers that have been around for hundreds of years will begin to melt and in turn will flood the world's oceans, rivers and other bodies of water. When this hapens, some of the places we now inhabit will be drowned out as a result of the increased water levels. This of course in turn will destroy the habitat of many living creatures and cause the extinction of thousands of plant and animal species which are vital to the survival of even more living creatures. This of course will also decrease our food sources, and habitable land. It is a very frightening reality that is sure to come and needs our very desperate and serious attention.

The average temps will be higher, the deserts dryer, the hurricanes stronger, and the maps of the world will look quite different. Crops will be harder to grow, and food will be expensive. Many parts of the world depend on melting glaciers for water - they will be gone.

Many animal species will be a memory.

Global warming is already in effect. The thing most people don't realize, is it is not just "warming" it also means unusual "cold" too! The earth's balance is off and has been for awhile. That's why some summer's are really way too hot and some winter's are way too cold. This month is a great example. Where I live.... it should be in the 60's. Past few days it's been raining and in the 30's!!!!!

its in affect and we have to do something about that we can't just buy recylced paper my social studies teacher got this poster from her niece and it said we may think that using recycled paper is good but it does more harm than good all those chemicals used t extract the ink and stuff is dumbed into rivers lakes oceans and other environmently places WE NEED TO STRAT USING CHLORIE FREE PAPER!!!! its a bit more expernsive but if the world is destroyed then we won't have paper for money we'll be living in garbage it'll be horrilbe sso get the message around

Coastal areas will flood and agriculture will be damaged, mostly by drought. Rich countries can cope, but it will require huge sums of money and wreck their economies. Poor countries can't afford to cope and many people will die of starvation.
