Im a huge fan of sattelite radio, decided to go with sirrius because of the offer at the time. I currently have a life time subscription to sirrius sattelite radio (paid a one time fee back in 06) and I love everything about it (variety, no commercials, frequency of repeats per day, annoying hosts, great talent you wont hear on over the air local stations) whats going to happen now that the merger b/w xm and sirrius was completed? have they address this yet? do I keep my lifetime subscription, do i have to upgrade my receiver? since it only does sirrius radio. when is this all going to happen?

  1. Relax.  Nothing's going to happen immediately. When they get all the paperwork and stuff out of the way, evntually it will be a better product, with the best of both available to subscribers of each.

I can't imagine that your subscriptio would be affected. A deal's a deal. Both websites have info abut the merger.

  2. I am guessing that they will broadcast over XM, & Sirius. Meaning that if you have a sirius, or XM receiver you will be able to hear satellite radio. I also believe that you're lifetime subscription will be honored!!!!!
