After beating Manchester United 3-0 at Craven Cottage, Fulham should have gone on to enjoy the best run of their season.

However, it has not turned out like that. The Cottagers have lost their last five Premier League matches and have failed to score in their last three – putting them back towards the wrong half of the table after a very encouraging start. Has the injury to Clint Dempsey been a key factor?
