  1. EATING PROPERLY, LOTS OF WATER AND EXERCISE.

  2. Start with a Stool softener and lots of fruit and bran cereal. Also, start taking Fish oil--2x a day and you will feel the difference.

  3. to beat constipation, you have to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables like bran, shredded wheat, whole grain breads, and certain fruits like apricot, grapes, apples, and prunes, also drink enough of water and get some exercise to have a regular bowel movement.

  4. This is a real tough question to answer.  The reason is, there are a lot of reasons why people have constipation and sometimes, a solution just isn't available.

Some things that have helped me.

    natural laxitives

fresh fruit every morning (grapes, strawberries, cherries)

    Eat a proper diet

    Get plenty of water

  5. You need more fiber. Drink it or eat it.

  6. WATER WITH FOOT REFLEXOLOGY THIS IS THE BEST TO DETOX AND SOFTEN STOOL

  7. Besides all the common remedies such as more fiber, more exercise, more water and prunes, oranges and mandarins there is another remedy and that is to reduce your sugar intake.  See items 16, 18, 67, 95, 96, 98, 134 and 141, especially items 67 and 134 (of items 1-146) in http://www.rheumatic.org/sugar.htm .

  8. forget all the pills ok

    just:

    ♦drink a lot of water

    ♦eat BEANS

♦eat loads of fibre, eg weatabix or bran flakes

  9. all of the above, plus listening to Rush Limbaugh.

EDIT...Alties have no sense of humour.

  10. Try psyllium husks- one or two teaspoons with a glass of juice each morning. Also pears are good (they have twice the amount of fiber than apples), oats, kiwifruit have a lot of fiber. Also eat wholemeal bread instead of white, try brown rice as well.

  11. Drink water before breakfast.

Quaker oatmeal cereal is also good.

  12. You will do much better eating fiber-rich foods than taking Metamucil. Eat plenty of green leafy lettuce for 'roughage' to help flush the system out.

    Fiber Rich foods include:

    1. Apples

    2. Bananas

    3. All kinds of beans

    4. Cabbage

    5. Grapes

    6. Cantelopes. Eat whole fruits ,not in jars or cans ,that way you get much more nutrients.

  13. Drink lots of water and take a fiber supplement like metamucil. If that doesn't work, you can take a gentle laxative that will soften your stools and make it easier for you to p**p.
