  1. u should be able to drop ur freestyle event times

but the others are very good

  2. really good! the only thing you could do is try to do it everyday. Our swimming teacher (in high school) made us shave our hair from practically the entire body. She said it will give us speed.

  3. I used to coach swimming, and I can tell you that a lot of time is lost in turns.  When doing flip turns it's important to kick your feet right over your head as you approach the wall as opposed to just doing a somersault.  This could easily save you 1/2 a second per turn.

  4. The most key thing is your arms and feet. They basically move you when your swimming. My suggestion is to work on your biceps and triceps. And to strengthen your feet. One good trick is to balance on a tennis ball (one per foot.) I swim competitively and it works for me!!

  5. When I was 9 I got my time for 25m Freestyle down to 18.7 seconds but all of yours are VERY GOOD!!! Your Fly time is amazing!!! Well Done ... Ward ... x

  6. Your best bet is to keep swimming on a daily basis and get some good workouts. Good times (at least  here in PA) for those events are:

    50 free - 25 or lower

    100 free - 55 or lower

    100 breast - 1:10 or lower

    50 fly - 27 or lower

    50 back - 28 or lower

Now, I don't know about where you live so those may not be real accurate. But the best way for you to get times like that is to swim every day.

  7. Join a year round club team and go to practice 5-6 days a week.  This is the only way to get way better if you want to be a stand out swimmer.  If it's between going to the gym or going to swim practice, go to practice.

  8. I swim in a squad pratically everyday, n trust me i know practically all the techniques. First of all, your dive has to smooth( No bellywhackers) n go out pretty far. In freestyle you really need to stretch really far with your arms and make sure you hav a good pace. Breaststroke, obviously glide and lunge. Butterfly good rhythm. Backstroke swim like h**l n don't bother worrying about hitting your head. Also tumble turns need to be tight and sharp. BTW You are really good, since u started 6-8 months ago.

Dryland also helps a lot, like treadmills and crosstrainers. Your arms need to be fit soo definitely weight, push ups and sit ups.
