  1. Its honey bees, and the cell phone towers that are now everywhere are driving them away.

As long as you don't like food?  then you are ok.  If you want to eat then someone had better do something fast.

  2. I read it was 'global warming'

this is supposed to work by changing the seasons so that when bees are around the plants they go to are not there yet.

Creatures like hedgehogs and mice get fooled in the same way - come out of hibernation early, and find there' no food.

so, because there's no mice there's no food for the bay owls.

so, because...and so on and so on...

    shame really,

  3. dont know. i dont like them so i dont mind if they stay out of the way

  4. Didn't know anything was happening to them?

I imagine they'll have a bad year after last summer's washout.

  5. My hypothesis is that the ragwort being poisonous to mammals is a protection against bee mites as they brush on the flowers and that now it is being pulled up even in the margins (central reservations of roads) that the bee is getting overcome by the mites on a large scale.  Ragwort needs to be left alone on the margins.

  6. Who cares i want them gone.

  7. I believe that Rudolf Steiner gave us the answer way back in 1924, when he predicted that if humanity continues to work with the bees in the artificial manner that they are using, they would disappear in fifty to eighty years.  And it has come true.

You might want to scope the article by Earth Vision  - Why the Bees are Dying  - and how to bring them back.

  8. A parasitic mite (Varoa-Veroa ?) is decimating bee colonies throughout the U.K.

  9. No one really knows but the same, well not the same but close....its happening to bats 2.

  10. I've just seen the trailer to M. Night Shyamalan's new movie The Happening and a naturally occuring virus seems to be the by-product of largescale bee disappearance.

  11. The agribusiness bees are dying because there under stress from being trucked from grove to grove.  The ones that are raised in a more natural environment are doing just fine.  The Media hype is all about getting cheap food to the consumer.

  12. walk down a couple of streets, how many gardens do you see with Flowers in them.

people nowadays are going for low maintainous gardens.

less flowers more greenery and gravel so less bees

  13. American beekeepers are finding that several of their hives are suffering Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) in which they find that their hives are completely empty of adult bees, with no trace of the missing adults anywhere in the vicinity of the abandoned hives. Nobody knows for sure what the exact reason for this is, but the most likely culprit is a disease called Israeli acute paralysis virus (IAPV). Research is being done to see whether this is the main reason, or whether it is one of many that come together to cause this situation.
