We have the fastest, toughest contact or football code in the world, so whats with the dismal crowd attendences ? eg, Sydney City V Melbourne Storm las night the place was two thirds empty !

Will Parra V Manly be a sell out ? hope so ! Go Eels ! Go Sydney !

  1. i also don't know......

  2. ALL the crowds in QLD are bumper crowds. It Is NSW that lets the teams down by NOT supporting them.

  3. OK i have said many times

    AFL 1 MCG

              2TELSTRA DOME

these stadiums offer seats to everybody and a lot of under cover if it rain both are in the city of Melbourne and offer excellent facilities

now the sorry state of NRL and to answer your question

Small suburban grounds eg, Kogarah, Cambelltown, Brookvale the list goes on , they offer very little under cover seating and seats for that matter the facilities are shocking and people don't want to travel 1h plus in traffic to attend a game and as long as Sydney has this narrow minded attitude to lets keep tradition  they will always get small crowds and when they get a see-out as you mentioned at Parramatta its still only around 25000 i have seen bigger crowds at the MCG waiting to get a beer

  4. sorry Wayne, personally i like the rugby and enjoy going occasionally to a storm game here in Melbourne, but this is why AFL is Australia's no.1 sport-it puts bums on seats, even up there in hostile territory (n.s.w & q.l.d) the crowds smash what the rugby crowds can throw up,im not sure why and you'd think with the passion our northern neighbours have for their rugby they'd support it more-maybe their isn't the passion that we think? or just maybe they have discovered a better product (AFL) ...........just kiddin  GO STORM!!
