What’s happening with the turf course at Meydan?

It seems that everything been hurried along to get the course ready for its first meeting this week. Bedding down the Tapeta synthetic surface appear to have been easy enough and all the jockeys were pleased when they ran some trial races on it last week. But the turf course has not worked out so well and they’re have to undertake some remedial work on it.
