  1. its like a transclucent white ish powder.

for like browbones and cheek bones

it accentuates those points i guess

i also like the makeup forever brand.

But sephora brand has a good one too

  2. Highlighter can be for your face or for your eyes,

For the eyes it's used to brighten. Applied on the brow bone and inner corners.

For the face it's applied on the cheekbones, down the nose, above the lip, on the chin and on your forehead, it gives your skin a gorgeous glow.

I would suggest buying a shimmery eyeshadow that is similar to your skin tone to highlight your face, I use Make Up For Ever in 126.

  3. Highlighting is referring to the effect of using a lighter than your skin tone shade or a glittery powder that usually goes under eyes- on top of cheek bone and on brow, chin, and / or nose-  to enhance your natural features -just as if you would use a bronzer !!

think of it like this ...where ever the furthest part of your face sticks out is a highlight - and anything recessed is a contour (bronzer)
