  1. You will need to scan the vehicle body control module assemble and reset it after it has be completely checked and as stated above, do not try this yourself........

  2. it's a specialist job, best take it to the main dealer, you don't want to be messing with safety equipment.

  3. Do NOT attempt to "reset" the air bag sensor or the airbags themselves.

When airbags deploy, the entire assembly needs to be completely replaced. An airbag can only be used once. It must be removed and replaced with a new one.

ONLY a specially trained technician should do this.

Let me add that if you were in an accident and you were wearing your seatbelt AND the airbags deployed, the seatbelt must be replaced as well. Once a seatbelt has been strained to maximum force, it might no longer function properly, endangering your life.

  4. SRS, or airbag control modules, are self-diagnosing. 90% of the time when a repairer replaces the deployed airbag components they simply plug them in, turn on the key and see if the warning/diagnostic lamp in the dash goes out. If it doesn't, then there's a fault in the system and it has to be traced out (broken wires, faulty sensors, etc) Sometimes the only way to rearm a system is to let the dealer clear the 'codes' from the ECM.
