That is a question with many very long answers, but I'll try to abbreviate it.

Our population is growing at such a rate that we are using up the available resources and space for living and growing crops.  We are polluting the atmosphere to such an extent that we are bringing about abrupt climate change.

Like all species that outgrow their space and resources, there will be mass famine and/or disease, reducing the population back to numbers that the Earth can support.  

Either that, or we will ignore it and continue with business as usual until it is too late to make corrections.  This could bring about extinction of our species.

Our World is being filled with idiots and imbeciles who are irresponsible for the fiscal and social issues that concern us all. We are in a time of unprecedented greed.

I definetly agree with the first answer...  We should be able to learn from someo f teh mistakes we have made in the past, but obviously we cannot.  But what can we really do now?  Of Course we can try to control some of the problems, but for most of them, we are to far gone!  Just pray!!!

Materialistic values, the world's super giants are oil driven which leads me to believe the fall of mankind will be our own undoing...
