Whats is the world going to be like in 3000 years??

well, i say humans might not be on earth in 3000 years.

i believe that the rapture will be happening very soon.

if we don't stop global warming, humans will be gone. and the earth will probably be a sterile, barren wasteland. maybe some microbes will be around. :(

In the year 5008, the planet will be empty of all human life, as we cavort through the universe/dimensions on pure thought alone, the earth itself will truly be a sentient being due to BIO-AI.  The earth will also be green, but all mature trees for instance will at best be 5 ft. high as they evolved to not be harvestable to ensure survival.  A little bit of out of left field evolution for ya.

How can one possibly imagine where we'll be in 3000 years? I'll tell you one thing though and that is that I'll definetly be living on something other than earth by then because I went to a different plane of existance or because of tiredness from living on humans cradle.

I think that all the humans will have been extinct. Maybe there will be no more Earth due to some Meteor or Extreme Global Warming?

dark. It's already discovered by scientists that the sun is getting smaller and smaller every year, which will eventually lead to the darkness of mankind on planet earth. Darkness = no life.

Humans will have long before 5000 AD gained complete control of their genetic code and to increase productivity humanity will have split into many different unique species, including a species that can live in the rarefied atmosphere of Mars with only minor augmentation.  There will be a marine species of neo-humans.   There will be neo-humans that will have the abilities to hibernate and extremely long lives so that we can travel to other star systems.  There will be neo-humans that have virtually all human knowledge at their instant awareness via cortical implants that tie them into centralized computers and thus able to communicate with each other by a network.

All irregular verbs will be eliminated from all languages.  All unnecessary obstacles to learning languages will be eliminated.  But neo-English, called Songhua, will become the lingua-franca of the world.

With average of 50 point increase in even the most limited of neo-humans' IQ, all forms of religious fundamentalism will be eliminated.  Religion will return to its original purpose of caring for others and will become a branch of psychiatric medicine.

Consicousness will be completely explained.  A unified theory of everything will have been solved by physics.  The chemistry of anti-matter will be a new area of study.

Still war, poverty, and disease will continue to plague neo-humanity.

Different, and yet the same. It is a folly to think that things won't change, just as it is foolish to think that people will. More than likely anything that threatens humanity will be dealt with as it arises. Nothing we're doing now can't exactly be undone. Sure animals will still be dead, but humans are pretty good at staying alive themselves. Just as they are pretty good at staying unchanged over time. People murdered and indulged in vices in the past, they do today, and they will in 3000 years. They'll just do it better.

No one knows, but it is an error to presume that it will automatically be "more advanced" than today.  Progress may not be unending and inevitable for all we know. Technology may stagnate or go backwards, and 5000 AD may look more like 5000 BC. For all we know.
