  1. Lyn canyon  is free capilano suspension bridgeis a tourist trap  China town  gastown  Ride the sky train  and sea bus  You need more time   go to   tourismvancouver  And   hellobc

  2. -Stanley Park (Just wander around the seawall and such, theres lots to do)

-Granville Island (You can take the aquabus or drive)

-Grouse Mountain ( I think theres even still snow on the mountain!)

-Gastown is cool, but I dont think Robson st. is that great but you can check it out if you want

  3. Do the Sea-to-Sky Highway Drive.  It has such awesome views.  It goes up to Whistler Blackcomb.  Or the Capilano suspension bridge.  Yikes, its high.  Or the cable cars up to Grouse Mountain.

  4. The idea on the sea to sky highway is a great idea...but not sure it is for one day. Depending on traffic (and the time of day you drive), it might be a lot of driving for not.

How about just going downtown--checking out Robson St for restaurants and shopping--there are stores all along Robson St. or there's the Pacific Centre Mall. The Vancouver Art Gallery is nearby too. There's also Stanley Park  if it's a beautiful day. You can rent bikes and there's a pitch and putt in Stanley Park.  There's also a great walking path from Stanley Park that leads to English Bay. Once in the Bay, there's many restaurants and cafes around there. Or check out Granville Island, you can rent a boat or kayak...and then have lunch or bevvies in the area...and there's open entertainment at Granville Island and a market w/ local produce, deli's and bakeries, cafes, confectionaries galore. Or taking the Aquabus to Granville Island is a fun little ride.

    Hope you enjoy our city!

  5. Go to Granville Island, go downtown and shop/look around (Robson street, denman street), go to the art gallery, go up to whistler, visit gastown or yaletown, walk around main street, playland if you like amusement parks, the aquarium, the vancouver museum, Capilano suspension bridge, science world, bike riding around Stanley park, go to the beach, take the ferry to victoria, VanDusen garden, climb the grouse grind. If I only had one day, I'd probably go the granville island around the morning, when it gets really unbearably hot in the afternoon, go to the art gallery downtown, then hang around downtown during the evening, catch a show, whatever. There's so much going on around this city. Hope you enjoy it here!

  6. Go to Granville Island early for coffee and check out the market then take the Aqua Bus across False Creek to Sunset Beach and walk along the seawall until you reach Denman Street.  Have lunch at one of the many restaurants on Denman and then walk north to Robson street and check out the shops. If the shops aren't your thing go into Stanley Park and play 9 holes of pitch and putt or just enjoy the park or visit the Aquarium. All these things are in the Downtown / West End area of the city.

  7. I would skip the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Seems like a waste of time and money to me. Grouse Mountain is quite nice.

Stanley Park is a must. You could easily spend the day there. You could close it out by walking down Robson Street and finding a good restaurant.
