it depends how heavy is your letter...for best answer go to post office nearby and let them weight it for you .

If is is a standard-size letter, the rate is the same to anywhere in the country: 42 cents for the first ounce, plus 17 cents for each additional ounce.  

A one-ounce letter is up to about 5 sheets of paper. So, if you just have a couple of sheets plus the envelope, a single 42-cent stamp is all you need.  If you have a envelope that is much larger than normal, or if you think it might be too heavy, take it into the Post Office, and they will tell you whether you need more than one regular stamp.
