Whats it like in the Canadian Army Reserves?

i'm 17 and I'm thinking that i might join the army reserves for a possible career choice, I'm pretty tough and strong, and think i can handle whatever the reserves can throw at me..........so whats it like in the Canadian Army Reserves?

From what i have heard from friends it is a joke if you are thinking career than i would go active duty. Not knocking the Canadian army but you might even be better off joining  as US military branch. I am a Canadian/US citizen the reason i joined the Marines is because my background is mostly american however the opportunities you will have far outweigh the Canadian forces however the pride in your nation is another matter. Whatever you choose good luck in your endeavors and thank you in advance for your service.
