  1. For the most part its really good, even if your scared of heights its really not that bad. I fly all the time and it's really just a joy to be on them because your SO high and you go through clouds it's just so relaxing.

    best wishes,

  2. Some people love it, some hate it.

I dont know if I would really classify air travel as fun these days, unless you are flying first class. Mainly because air travel has become more of pain, with constant delays, rude service, and heightend security.

  3. Well some people don't like it... but I beg to differ.

Airports are like global communities. Thousands of people, travelling to different places, for different reasons, from anywhere in the world. Airports are bustling centres of activity and orderly chaos. Leave yourself lots of time, and the experience will be so much less stressful.

Once on the plane its a lot like a big bus, except they will ask you to follow simple instructions like not smoking. The biggest difference, of course, is that in a bus an unruly passenger might just be asked to leave. On a plane, unruly passengers will be met on arrival by police. Breaking the rules on a plane is taken VERY seriously. You could wind up in jail for something stupid like smoking on the plane.

Take-off and landing is probably the most fun (or scary for some...) because there's just so much speed involved. It takes a lot of effort to get hundreds of tons of fuel, people, and cargo up to speed for flight (or slowed down from flight).

  4. Nowadays I see air travel as a necessity to get to a far destination the fastest rather than something fun to do. But I still do enjoy takeoff and landing and such.

  5. when you are taking off it feels like a roller coaster, i love it

but the only bad part about it is that your ears pop but a way to prevent that is to chew gum or breathe from your mouth, it really works

when you are up in the air it is the best

you get served and you just relax

it is very smooth except for the occasional turbulance

  6. I just flew the other day for the first time in years, and I enjoyed it. If you can, get a window seat, it's cool to see the ground below at takeoff and just before landing.

  7. Depends on the size and the type of aircraft.

Small civilian planes are like being on an enclosed roller coaster, a little cramped but comfortable enough and you almost always have a window seat but turbulence can cause the plane to shift about but you never know when it's going to hit - hence the rollercoaster idea (although sometimes it's plain sailing with no buffetting, personally, I like turbulence!) And the smallest planes have no toilet.

Military cargo planes are noisy and have minimal comfort, they typically smell of metal and oil (or sweaty soldiers) and usually have only one toilet (although the smaller, tactical transports often have no toilet). There's nothing to do except read a book or try to shout conversations with your mates over the engine noise or sleep.

Medium sized passenger planes (20-50 seat types) generally have good seats with good leg room and usually have a toilet or two. Even if you didn't get a window seat there's still a good chance you can look out the window and actually see something. It's almost like taking a bus trip except if the weather gets rough, it's a bus on a rollercoaster!

Larger passenger aircraft usually have comfortable seats but if you travel economy you have very little leg room so you can't really stretch out, you often will not get a window seat and even if you do it just makes it harder to get out of the seats when you need to go to the toilet because you have to squeeze past two or three other people. If you don't get a window seat it's almost pointless trying to look out the window unless you're landing or taking off because all you'll see is sky. Unless you have a book to read or you're interested in the inflight movies, these flights can be boring as anything (unless you can sleep through the flight)

But for all the bad points, if you enjoy flying, it's always fun to be on them. Why did I mention toilets so often, it's damned hard to "just hold on" when you have a 12 flight in a C-130 to the exercise area and you got drunk the night before going and it's going to be impossible on the 20+ hour flight from Australia to the UK when your only stopover is Singapore and that's in the first four hours!

  8. like a roller coaster ride but doesn't go too steep lol

  9. not since 9-11! when you look down everything looks so small then you realize how really d**n far up in the air you are...i just watch a movie or read till the time pasts....the landing is the worst!  and you have to be aware and watch what you say and do because security is TIGHT! plus they make you take your shoes off in the airport and will harrass you and hold you up!

i am an official road trip lover now thanks to the plane!

  10. its really cool!!!

i always enjoy taking off and during landing!! :)

and the fun thing is the IFE.. :)
