Someone has stated that it is probably one of the most beautiful places in Britain...it's not in Britain! Donegal is in the Republic of Ireland!

Bunbeg is great - except when the talk about you in Irish at the pub! Lovely place, very quiet and ver spread out. The harbour is beautiful.

I love Donegal, my wife comes from the Ardara area of Donegal, I'm Scottish. The location,the peacefulness of the area and the scenery is second to none. However that said the only thing that is stopping us from going back to live there is the lack of jobs. It depends on fishing and the tweed industrials which are both in decline. There is the FAS programme were you work for 2 weeks then are off for 2 weeks. In the areas that you mention that you want to live you will have to learn Gaelic as it is the main language spoken there
