Whats it like to use pads?

Whats it like to wear one around other people? Like is it strange if you have to around boys or like sleep in bed at night having to wear one.

Do you feel it leak or anything? Is it strange?

I'm just curious what its like for girls and I dont have any sisters.

it's gross, I prefer tampons.

it is crazy uncomfotable and yes sometimes you can feel it leak . and you always feel like you just peed your pants.

I dont like them much i feel dirty cause you can feel the pad and that there is blood. I usually wear them at night then wake up and take a shower.

tampons are better for the appearance (in case someone see's the pad sticking out somewhere)

but.. pads are more comfortable and less of a hassle.

You don't have to keep going to the bathroom to keep changing a pad like a tampon. :)

stop talking about your periods...take some midol; shove a tampon in and go cry in a corner

Honestly I couldn't live without them, I've always thought that tampons were uncomfortable.  It really depends on what thickness of the pad.  You can get thin ones that have maximum protection, those are good.

I could never wear pads.. I find that no matter what size/shape they are, they all leak a little. Which makes me really self-conscious.

It's definitely weird to be around guys with a pad, because sometimes if you wear tight fitting clothes you can see it, or if your boyfriend touches you not realizing your on your period, it can be really embarrassing. And sleeping is the worst because you move around alot, and sleep in weird positions which can cause it to leak.

Oh, and since pads require you to change them less, they might make you smell a little funky...

Tampons are THE way to goooo.

It's weird when you first start using them. You feel really self conscious that everyone can see them, but they can't. I've never felt them leak though. I like tampons, they kinda make you forget that you're on your period.
