  1. My friend from high school is on the practice squad for the 49ers... RB Thomas Clayton if u care...He was drafted last year and did ok in the pre season. He didn't make the roster but made the practice team.

49ers had 8 guys on the practice team. U get paid about 90,000-$100,000...U practice with the team and u wear a t-shirt on the sidelines during the game.

  2. A team can keep 8 players on the practice squad. They can practice but not play as they are not on the active roster.

Another team can sign a player off another team's practice squad; but if they do they must spend at least three games on the active roster of the signing team.

And I think we will see Lattimore on the Cowboys' practice squad. I have heard rumors Dallas will also try him at fullback if they do. Did you know Lattimore is Ray Lewis' younger brother? That's cool.

  3. That player doesn't suit up for games but they practice with the starters. kind of like a tackling dummy.

  4. the practice squad is like a tiny minor league/ JV system(8 players allowed) the players that make it on the squad just basically practice to get better but they do not take up a nfl roster spot. if someone is hurt then you can call up a practice squad player to fill it.
