  1. Bipolar disorder is when a person can feel fine one minute and feel absoultly horrible the next.

It can be when they take it out on other people too.

    sorry about your situation.

    hope this helped.

  2. Bio-polar is just a new term for being depressed. Everyone has feelings of happiness and sadness once in a while. Feeling high and feeling low are part of life.

But for someone with bipolar disorder (sometimes called manic depression), these feelings can be extreme:

        * These ups and downs can be too much for a person to cope with.

        * They can interfere with daily life.

        * Sometimes they can even be dangerous.

    The ups and downs

One day you may feel so depressed that you can't get out of bed. Work may seem impossible.

On another day you may feel great and full of endless energy. You may feel like you’re getting a lot done. But other people might think that what you are doing is dangerous and out of control.

Bipolar disorder is a lifelong condition. It can be hard for healthcare providers to diagnose. But it's nothing to be embarrassed about.

Its not your mom's fault.  Just try and support her in any way you can.

    Good luck

  3. Well Bipolar disorder is like .. when she gets happy she gets REALLY happy and when she gets mad or sad she'll get REALLY mad or sad. You've probably noticed this with your mom, right. Well it isn't totally her fault but abusing you is not okay. You're father should know this! If I were you and you're too young to get help to live on you're own, then I would only try to avoid her when you notice that she is going into one of her worse moods. Bipolar people swing from mood to mood quick enough and there moods will be extrem. Im really sorry to hear this, I dont know if it's her fault or the disorders fault for hitting you but I do know that she shouldn't be! and that you're father shouldn't be brushing it aside saying it is okay, because it isn't! No matter what you shouldnt be in a abusive family or environment. I hope this helps! Im really sorry about your situation!! and remember if you are older enough but do not have enough financial help to ind your own place, you can go to the government tell them your situation and I'm more then positive *depending on where you live, I live in Canada* they should help you because the situation at home is not liveable!! Im sure they help people with parents in this situation that cant help you. You should look into it if you're old enough. and remember just because you leave home does NOT mean you cant visit whenever you want!!
