So I've been feeling miserable lately, with symptoms that could either be a cold or allergies, so I took my temp to see if I had a fever, and it said my temp was 97.5F, its suposed to be 98.7F isnt it? Does this mean anything?

  1. Whereas you say your normal body temp is 98.7, yes you might have a slight cold or allergies. What is normal for one could be abnormal for someone else. But keep in mind that our body temperature fluctuates throughout the day.

  2. I'm guessing it's just a cold.

  3. 98.6 is just a guide to what normal is. it's not normal for everyone. my normal is around 97 and i'm just fine!

  4. nothing-- mine is the same way. AND when I'm sick it actually goes lower, rather than higher. I was told by doctor....it's normal, per se. Nothing to worry about.

  5. Just be glad it isn't like 60.0 or you might be a zombie.

  6. it doesnt really mean anything. just eat some chicken soup, it really helps if the soup is spicy. i had a cold on vacation last year, so i ate some spicy chicken ramen noodle soup and i felt better after the first bite!

but then again, it could be a drop in blood pressure, i say eat a bowl of soup and see a doctor.

  7. your body temperature is below normal. try wearing warmer clothes...
