  1. 2 dollars ( American Currency)

  2. If you are telling the truth, save it for years to come pass it on down your family tree and eventually one of your reletives down the track will sell it too the AFL or even just on ebay. If Port reach a hundred years old then would be a great ideea to sell it. Hope that helped because i've collected footy cards for the past 3 years and i'm going to them down my family as well.

  3. I would sat about $1.92. And i still wouldnt buy it.

  4. without first reading what others have said, which is a bad habit of mine, because often others have said it, but i would try ebay my self. don't know if you have ever tried it, but you put something on that you don't really want to sell,  you put your reserve at something really stupid and see what people offer, that way you will get some idea.

you could ring a footy or sports memorabilia shop or someone who deals in that sort of thing, they will give you some idea, personally i would wait a few more years, you will get some good dosh for it in the longer term i would think, i can not remember that bloke you mentioned, really.

it's not nice to say, but if he carks it, it will be worth more, hey maybe he would buy it off you.

At a guess, a real port fan might pay upwards of $500, just a guess mind you.

edit- if memory serves me correct, port beat collingwood, i watched it with 2 magpie blokes at a pub, wasn't it the first game of the year?, we all thought, holly c**p, these blokes will be good.

edit 2- my mistake, dahhh, 'home ball' with ya now.

  5. I would see if Port would want to buy it back first, since they would probably pay the most.

If you want to sell it I would keep it for a lot more time.  In another 20+ years it will be worth a lot more, mostly because Port are only 11 years old.

  6. put ot on ebay and find out how much people will pay for it. Just set your reserve price exeedingly high

  7. Mate, it's priceless, an AFL ball isn't somthing you sell, they are very rare but not very valuable, as i said priceless. But, if it's money youre looking for, the Port group as a club could buy it for a fair bit other than that i couldn't give an excact amount, and it also depands if they won their game or not, where the game was played, if there are much supporters of the team and if it is signed personally by the players.

But mate, you need proof, with signatures of players could be worth a fair bit, but not over the price of $100, not much for a footy is it, so yeah, it's not much over the price of a normal footy, but if it was me, i'd keep it, it will probably be more valuable in the future and years to come.

And it really depands if it was the game day footy or you just won it from a contest, Somthing else that may contribute to youre question.

It also depands if it is a Port fan, they could pay up to $500 maybe, it also depands what condition it is in, id say the highest you would get from someone that was willing to pay a good amount, $200 but only if it is in GOOD CONDITION, a Port fan would rather it be in medium condition, so it looks like it has been played with, for their personal memorabilia.

You could even get a pretty good bargain outside Ebay, and a first game home ball wouldnt get you as much as the ball Tony Lockett kicked for his 1300th goal, but of course he owns that ball now. But you will need to make a desicion if you do decide to use Ebay, you will have to say something like, for a Port fan, the first match ball used at whatever stadium and will have to give them the good facts, if not a Port Fan, Bad Luck, it could only be worth $2 or so.

Hope you have good luck with youre ball, but it is entirely youre decision if you decide to keep it, and maybe sell it for more later, or use it as memorabilia, but then again, AFL may get less popular of the years to come and you won't be able to sell for as much, if i were you, id keep it or try and get it in as quickly as i can and get a good deal with a Port Fan.

  8. If I had it, I'd keep it :) But if you want to sell it the Port Adelaide Football Club  might pay a bit of money for it.

  9. put it on ebay

  10. It's only worth as much as someone will pay for it. Can you prove it's the 1st home game ball? Does it have signatures on it? Maybe look on eBay and see what other memorabilia goes for to get an idea. Maybe Port are interested in it?

  11. worth ......... less to me any way

  12. I'm only haven a punt, but I have to agree with goin straight to Port Power and discussing its worth or historic value.. They would have some answers for you..
