  1. Well as a senior in college, I have to say that my experience as a college student has been the best 4 years of my life.  You do get a lot more freedom...no nagging parents to wake you up to go to class, you can eat what you want, basically do what you want, etc.

But along with that freedom comes a lot more responsibility.  It is your responsibility to get up and go to class.  It is your responsibility to do your homework and write your papers.  It is your responsibility to clean up after yourself and shower.  If you run out of food in your room, it is your own money that pays for it (you'll appreciate being a dependent of your mom and dad in no time).  If you run out of clothes, you have to do the laundry.  There is a lot of responsibility, but it is great to learn.

Living in a dorm is fun, you do form bonds with your hallmates, and you end up making a lot of good friendships and creating some really good memories.  I can't remember much from the dorm life, I've lived in a sorority house the past couple of years, but what I do remember from my dorm life, it was pretty awesome.

High school can't even hold a candle to college.  You really do learn a lot about yourself while in college.  You will have some ups and downs, but through it all you emerge a much much better person.

Now I don't know about the community college deal...I went to a 4 year university, but I know a lot of students who went to a community college to take their general education courses (like math, science, etc) and then transferred to a university to complete their major.  However, the most important thing is to check with the university to make sure all your credits from the community college transfer.  Sometimes they don't, and that can leave you way behind.  The decision is up to you.  I personally chose the 4 year route.
