  1. the trick is having the money for gas to go buy milk.

  2. MILK 4 SURE

there are still other means of transportation out there, although not many people are willing to use them

  3. Milk (nutrition) for my children.  The car can sit without gasoline, but the kids won't last long without food in their bellies.

EDIT:  OMG, subsidized gasoline market??  Are you out of your mind?  You have no concept of free market influences.  Venezuela has subsidized gasoline, at 25 cents/gallon, as does China at 50 cpg.  We in the US have no national oil company that can set pricing.  Do you think Bush would allow oil and gasoline to rise as it has been, if he had the ability to control pricing?  Wow, think before speaking, please...

  4. Sit down and think for a minute about all the rides you made the last week and see if they really were necessary. And if they were, could you have used alternative ways of transport? I have a good job but still chose to bike to work or take the bus if the weather is really too bad.

  5. Without the gallon of gas I can't drive to work to earn money to BUY milk for the kids.

    It's a vicious cycle!

  6. 1gallon of gas..

  7. go diesel, there,s agreat thing you can do with used cooking oil(filtered) and a drop of white spirit, you,ll never have to line georges pockets again! you did,nt hear this from me!

  8. Both gasoline and milk are, to some degree, subsidized commodities.  These subsidies distort the free market; both milk AND gas should be more expensive than they are.  Bush keeps us addicted to oil by encouraging the purchase of gas-guzzling light trucks through screwy tax policies.

As far as I'm concerned, Democrat or Republican, we've unwittingly adopted a scorched-ear policy with regards to natural resources, land management, and economic policy.  Milk, gas, corn for ethanol or food - what wins out is the almighty dollar and short-sighted policy makers.

  9. Wow geesh call the U.N and have a meeting see if they can work out a 50/50 deal. Maybe half a gallon of milk and half a gallon of gas.
