  1. It depends on the subject. Creativity wins hands down in Art and Craft. However, if you allow creative accountancy  in maths, then you will be aiding and abetting the next embezzler.

I always think that teaching is a process which is forever enticing the child to learn for him/her self. I also think that structure has to be present in discipline as it defines the limits within it is safe for the child to explore.

You really have to have tall four principles which you have mentioned and they have to constantly elbow each other into position depending on the circumstances.

  2. Content and structure... content above all.

The smart kids will pick it up without any charisma or tricks on behalf of the teacher. The not so smart kids should not be forced up to the same level while the smart ones twiddle their thumbs for 11 years. We're not all equal. That's the whole point of exams.

If they hadn't done this at my school then I would've probably passed all my GCSEs five years earlier and saved so much useless repetition.

  3. In terms of content or process, I think both are important, but process more so because without it you cannot go on to effectively process more content, if that makes sense.

Structure or creativity? All teachers have their own style, and all students learn differently too. It's really about giving all students a chance to learn. So you should use a combination of both approaches.
