  1. well from where i am from people will take some1 with the work history than school history..

because you could be the smartest person in the world be that dosent mean you can do everyjob on the earth..

  2. It really depends on the job you're applying for - if the position requires a degree you don't have, your work history doesn't really matter. That being said, if you meet the educational requirements, your work experience can be what sets you apart from other candidates who have the same educational background.

Your best bet is to pinpoint useful courses you took, as well as extracurriculars you got involved with at school. Go through your work experience and pick out tasks you did and skills you used that would apply to the job you're trying to get. While some people may look down on a job at, say, McDonald's, you can say you gained valuable public relations skills (dealing with the public), you learned to be adaptable (switching orders), and you have experience handling money. Use whatever you learned and tell your interviewers how that makes you better for the job than someone else! Good luck with the job hunt!

  3. i think both are very important.  it is hard to say.  it definitely depends on the job.  I might say that work experience may have the advanatge over education to some degree (unless it was between a harvard grad and someone who only graduated high school or something like that)

  4. It all depends on the job. Most careers it's easier to obtain a job if you have work history but much easier to advance once in the position with education.

  5. both are important

  6. It depends on what sort of job you're going for but generally, both are equally important. Personally, I think education is more important, shows you're committed to something. Something you could have just give up on. Good luck on the job hunt though! :)

  7. Both in my experience. When I'm browsing job postings they are always looking for someone with a degree, but then they have to have at least a few years on the job experience. Maybe you could go to college for your degree and do an internship or work study at the same time. I had that option, and I wish I would have done it!

  8. Both.

For some jobs,  employers are looking for  some  college ,or some specialized training, if for no other reason than it weeds out those who don;t have one.

Work history too, is important. This may vary , but if you are 22 and have had 6 jobs in the  past three years, it may a big  help if you you can show you moved on to better  paying and more responsible jobs. If you are 25 and  have had 5 jobs in the past 3 years, employers would likely  question why you can't stay with a job for longer than a couple months.
