Whats my chances of getting into Gorgetown(DC)?

GPA: 3.9

SAT: CR: 420 M: 540 W: 530

Club and extras: FBLA, completion of NYLF on Med, volunteer over 300 hrs, and work part-time for parents

Classes: AP US, AP Lang, AP phy, AP bio, AP chem, AP physics, AP stat, spanish hnr, physics hnr, chem hnr, english 11 hnr (1 sem), algebra II hnr.

Other: Live in-state(Maryland), first one in family to go to college

Please list any other colleges i can get into. Thx

  1. Is that a weighted or unweighed GPA?


  2. If you just put everything except your SAT score, I would say your golden in getting into Georgetown. However, SATs play a huge role in admissions there. You need at least a 600 on your critical reading, math, and writing sections just to be considerable. There are a lot of colleges you can get into with those extracurriculars, it's just the SAT scores that are hindering your chances of getting in. Raise that up and you can get into Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, NYU, and some other great schools.

  3. None if you don't bring your SAT score up to at 1900 or so.
