Whats naproxen?

my dr gave me this and i was just wondering

It is a NSAID--non steroidal anti inflammatory drug. Naprosyn, Anaprox are the trade names. Used for arthritis, joint pain, menstrual pain, etc. Like Aleve. Aleve is another trade name for naproxen.

it is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug for pain like cramps and headaches. it's commonly known as Aleve. for short, it's called an "nsaid," and other nsaids include aspirin, acetaminophen (Tylenol), ibuprofen (Motrin). you can buy nsaids off the shelf at a drug store, but sometimes the doc will order a higher dose that requires prescription and sometimes nsaids are combined with other drugs to help with the pain and inflammation. what did see your doc for? that will tell you something.

Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is NOT an NSAID. and has very weak anti-inflammatory properties.

It's exactally like aleve only stronger if perscribed and if over the counter only a cheaper brand of aleve because they do sell it at any where you can get aleve.
