  1. At 14 months most children can say a few words and maybe put two together but on average they dont speak very much at that age.  At 18 months their vocabulary kind of explodes and all of a sudden they say tonnes of words and can have a kind of mini conversation with you.  If your son is saying more than mummy, daddy, milk, teddy etc. then he is doing well.

  2. well i can't really tell you exactly but after a year simply commands or words is usually being noticed or maybe more babling

and by two to three babies usually go into full talking of course with the same kind of baby babble mixed in

sorry if this didn't help good luck

  3. All children are different.  My sister had twins and they progressed at different rates one walking before the other the other speaking before the other.

My granddaughter was saying words by 13 months like up when she wanted a cuddle and now at 4 years of age is very talkative.   My grandson now coming up to one year has no verbal skills but is half crawling and half walking which is much earlier than his sister.

  4. At 14 months 6-8 words is average though like everything some children will be way ahead of that and some way behind. Its hard to talk about sentences with children that small as they are mainly copying and don't necessarily understand that what they are saying is 2 separate words.
