  1. There is no such term in insurance.  you will not see that anywhere in an insurance contract!


  2. An act of God means a natural disaster, such as a snowstorm, hurricane etc. or something like a tree fell on your car. Something totally unforseen and unable to control or prevent from happening.

While it may not appear in the wording of the contract it does not mean that it is not an insurance term.  It basically means losses which are caused by things that are outside our control or influence.  For instance, lightning strikes, floods, hail, etc.  Basically almost anything weather related.

  4. Generally, it means any disaster not specifically stated already in the policy. "Acts of God" are also typically used to describe natural disasters such as flooding, storms & hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. "Acts of God" can also mean any unforseen accidental incident, like a tree falling on your car because it was rotted out. It depends a little on how exactly it's worded in the contract, but you get the idea.
