I'm a tech geek and am interested in buying Windows XP Professional and being able to log onto a domain that I want to own. What items are required for this process? I need to know what stuff is needed to create the domain, mainly. I can find out how to log on to it and things like that, but just need info on what to buy. All help is really appreciated. Thanks!

  1. Well the main thing you need is a server thats a Domain Controller. Windows server 2003 or 2008 are not cheap at all, if you want to have an xp with a domain you need to know somone with a server Operating system that will allow you to log on to their domain and become a member or your going to have to make your own. Complete with your own server, Server hardware, which isnt cheap either.
