Whats required to immigrate to London, England?

Hello,

How easy is it for an Indian Citizen to immigrate to England? I'm a graduate with 4+ years of experience (Bachelor in Commerce).

Do you think it'll be easy for me to immigrate.

Also, Canada expects you to show $12000 per person when you migrate. How much is this figure when it comes to migrating to England?

What should my first step be?

These days it is not at all easy to migrate to the UK.The reason is that workers from other European Union countries are free to move to the UKand to work here or any other EU country and don't need permission. With the expansion of the EU, most of our worker requirements can be met from the other member states.

However we still have a highly skilled migrants programme,although it has been amended and made more difficult just a couple of months ago.  We have a points system similar to Australia and Canada, except that ours requires more points and they are harder to get.

I have given a link below, where you can find out about all the options, but I think that there might at present be a freeze on applicants from India.If so, you will find the details on the government website that I have given. You can also check on the website of our New Delhi embassy for further information.

To give you a quick idea about our points system, an applicant needs 75 to be eligible.

A recognised Batchelor degree gets 30 points.

Age below 28 gets 20 points, 29 or 30 gets only 10 points.

More points can be gained from proven income from working,in any 12 months period during the 15 months prior to your application.

Somewhere on the site I have given, you will be able to check out your points online and be told instantly whether you are eligible,and should be able to enter your exact degree and your college,and your earnings etc.The government site says that the programme is designed to attract people with good qualifications and expertise,and such persons should be earning a good salary.
