  3. I think you could tell us some more information here - what do you enjoy doing? For example, if you enjoy sports you could try a large sports shop such as JJB, but you might prefer, say cycling and then I would suggest asking a cycle shop - you would be better there because you have an interest in what you sell (and hopefully some knowledge). So think about what you enjoy doing and target shops near you that sell that.

You could try larger chains such as the supermarkets (mind numbing job often), large superstores, or large chains where the staff are on a rota (easier to get a day off on a saturday), or if you can stand it try a fast food burger place (working conditions arnt so good but money is OK,and free 'food' for lunch)

I think though its all down to going out and asking to see the manager or senior staff, explain what you want and asking if they have any vacancies. You might have to go to several shops to get a job offer so be patient

  4. Why don't you just go into every shop in your local parade or town?  The bigger the town you are likely to get something.  Do you have a large shopping centre nearby you could try?  Alternatively, look at the websites of local shops to see if they are advertising - I guess only larger shops would do this.  Ones that spring to mind are places like JJB or Footlocker and the like or perhaps New Look, Body Shop, Mark One etc.  Good luck.
