The cool thing about them is that they are a very friendly snake that you can hold daily and its fun to care for. Its also fun sometimes when you feed your snake as well :P

It all depends on the person really if you think its cool or fun to keep a snake. Some people plainly hate snakes because they dont know much about them and think all snakes are aggressive and venomous. Others think its just stupid caring for a reptile. It goes the same for dogs and cats too. Whats the point in keeping a dog or cat then? Sure snakes cant learn tricks like to sit or anything but its just a fun animal to have and become really attatch to people like other animals do.

If you're asking this question, then you shouldn't be thinking of getting one.

Reptiles are not 'fun.'  They are not a 'toy.'  It's a responsibility to own one, and provide for its needs.

You need to be respectful of it, and its temperment/behavior as well.  A snake owner accepts it's not the 'brightest bulb in the box,' and a snake is liable to bite for any reason, known or unknown, or for no reason at all.

If you don't have a 'connection' to snakes; then it wouldn't be the correct pet for you to choose.  If you aren't fascinated by them, or find their niche in nature of interest, etc., well... a snake most likely isn't the right choice.  

You'd be happier with a puppy or a kitten.  They DO like to play.

Its really only fun for someone who has a love of reptiles, snakes in particular, like me.

I mean, I'm the type of person who enjoys feeding my snakes, and I think assiting their shed is beautiful.

Being able to handle them is a blast as well, since there can be a whole lot of nippy snakes who don't appreciate being held too much.

But all together I think its just fun being able to have the privlage of taking care of my snakes, ball pythons especially.

If you don't have one and are considering getting one, you definately should - they're low maintence.

There just fun to care for, If you're into snakes I suggest you get one, What else can I say?

Snakes are just fun to hold, and when you hold them them and give them lots of attention they just start loving you. I've had my KingSnake for a while, I hold him everyday and he loves it.

theres thousands of diffrent morphs to chose from, ball pythons are easy to become intrested in because there is so many diffrent kinds and things to learn about them, they are docile and love to be held, they like the warmth of your skin. Balls are not a very active snake so when being held you can just chill out and watch tv with them or read a book or play guitar, etc. Balls will get to know their owner and recogize you as a companion. If you are consindering purchasing a snake a ball python is definitely the right choise.

They are awesome snakes that get attached to their owners. Also you can buy a hatchling and nurure it and help it grow into a loving gentle 3-5ft snake. They are awesome to hold and mine at least have a sense of humor. My favorite climbs into my hair and nests in it, she's a pain to get out but its always funny. one time she climbed up pants and another time down my shirt. they are awesome to hold and let crawl on you, and you get some neat snake skins. thats why i love them.

They are great snakes I have had 4 through my life and I am only 12 years old....right now I have one and i have a 4 year old brother that plays with it too...they are great with kids and easy to take care of, never bite, and just fun....they are just nice and loyal
