Whats so special about christmas

heres the story XMAS ISNT FOR AGES YET but my 18year old friend thinks it is and hes getting exited. To me christmas is just like any other day now. so whats still so special that my friend gets to exited about?

Christmas is a tradition that celebrates the birth of Jesus. Of course, through time, does the day drift from the original purpose.

And of course, this tradition has grown so big. It's just the combination of every thing, all the lights, all the holiday spirit, how almost everyone revolves around the holiday, how you give presents, and of course receive!

It's the decorating of your house, it's the "Merry Christmas" you give to your families, it's the blocks and blocks and blocks of lit up houses.

And it's amazing!

And he is your only friend or something? Have you NOT seen the holiday spirit during Christmas? He is not the only one who gets excited. If you don't want to embrace the holiday, then don't. And no one is going to waste their time trying to convince you!

Christmas is like the best time of the year for some people, but other think  like you do, which is okay too. Its about spending time with family and friends, and seeing the lights and snow ( if you live where it snows ) and seeing everyones happy face on christmas morning!

Tradition really, we just celelbrate it for the sake of doing so becuase we do it every year. Why not celelbrate it?

No one really knows it's special - it just is. A festive, family-orientated holiday that people just like to participate in. If you didn't want to - then you don't have to....it's just by choice and tradition why people go through the holidays.
