whats some good ways to stop drinking so much cokes?

i drink a ton of dr pepper and hardly any water. when i tried to stop i got cranky and had headaches... what do i do???

  4. You get the headache and your most likely cranky because of the lack of caffine in your system.  I would suggest that you stop drinking one can/glass of coke a day and replace it with something that is water based (water, lemonade)

  5. i had the same problem lol...i would drink coke all day.  i tried to limit myself to like 1 with dinner and then the rest of the day drink like juice or lemonade or water (but i hate drinking water).  I got really bad headaches too just like you, and I'd get tired alot easier BC i didn't have as much caffeine... its a hard routine to break when all you drink is caffeine but in the long run you'll feel SO much better.  Good Luck!!!

    People who drink a lot of soda can have health problems.

    Switch to a drink that tastes good but is healthy for you.

  9. My niece got me to switch from Mountain Dew to Izze Sparkling Juice. It is naturally delightful and refreshingly different. There are exotic flavors such a grapefruit. Most local grocery stores sell these drinks. I have recommended this fizzy juice as an alternative to soda to my friends and family.

  12. Its good to stop drinking dark pops, they do nasty things to your stomach. (wears away at it) estimate about how many bottles of pop you drink a week. lets say you drink about 2 bottles a day or 14 bottles a week. Next week try replacing 4 of those bottles of pop with tea if possible, but kool-aid should work if you cant get a hold of tea. every week try replacing a couple more bottles with tea or kool-aid, keeping tylenol handy to help if you get a headache. then when youve replaced all your pop, do the same thing again but with water. try to aim for 7 glasses of water a day and maybe a glass of tea. Id just avoid pop altogether even when going out to eat. Most all restaurants serve water for free anyway.

  13. you are having caffine withdrawls b/c you are so used to the high intake.  Slow down gradually and use tylenol and water to ease your headaches.  Try some different flavors of teas you get flavor, water, a little caffine, and less calories.

  14. I'm trying to stop drinking so much soda as well so I'm right there with you. Here's what I've heard:

    > Cut back gradually. If you're going to get a large coke, get a medium one instead.

    > Don't cut back entirely at once; gradually cut back. Go from 12 cans a week to 11 cans a week.

    > Drink water before having coke and seeing if you're still thirsty.

    > Gradually switch over to caffeine-free, then water.

    > Drink flavored water instead of soda.
