Whats something a 12 year old kid can do for money?

I'm 12 and I want to buy better stuff for my computer, and I need $120, how can I make this at my age?

My suggestion: since you are too young to work legally, you should also avoid things on the internet: chances are you would not be able to "legally" work for them either!

Also, I would always hesitate before trying anything on the internet: if making money was so easy why wouldn't everyone you know be doing it? Alot of these survey things either pay really bad money or take a lot of time to make a lot of money.

My advice is to do the following:

If you get an allowance, start saving that! You don't have to save all of it, but you could definitely put some away and still be able to spend some on yourself.

You could also do things around the neighbourhood: do you know anyone who needs their gardens taken care of, their lawns mowed, their weeds killed? What if you offered to organize garages? Wash cars? Walk dogs? Babysit?

The trick is to find out what people need and see if you can help them out. That way you will be providing a service to them and they will be paying you for it. For example: do you know any elderly people who may want to pay you to carry groceries from the store for them?

The possibilities are endless.

The trick is to start earning little bits of money and to start saving them.

Again, I really really wouldn't try the internet for this. I think you'd be better off putting in some good old fashioned elbow grease!

You can do some other business. It should be small since you're only 12 years old. Maybe some kind of garage sale. Sell old things you don't want. Also, you can do chores in your house. Maybe you could do work around the community. Do charity organizations. Mow people's lawns. Be helpful. You have to work to earn $ :D

This is the best way- go volenteer someone for a couple of weeks. An animal shelter is ideal because they always need of cheap and more help. After a month or so, ask the manager/directer of you can have a paid position. As long as your a consistent hard worker, I'm sure they'll be willing to hire you for a weekend gig. Or there is always baby sitting. Babysitters make bank.
