Whats something my husband and I can do in Virginia Beach?

Question

Looking for something cool to do in Virginia Beach. Maybe a mountain thing....something not too far from the beach ....something you cant do anywhere else. Any suggestions?

Well, If you like Amusement parks or water parks, Williamsburg , Va is probably one Hr. and 15 to 30min. from Va. Beach. Years ago they also had a Water park in Va. Beach but i don't know if it's still there.

VA Beach has a little bit of everything.

First Landing Park has some nice nature trails for hiking and biking (keep in mind the area is pretty flat though). They have a few environmental exhibits there as well. There is an indoor rock climbing facility in VA Beach though - Virginia Beach Rock Gym.

There are dozens of shops, restaurants, fun houses, nightclubs, and putt-putting places along the oceanfront. There's a small carnival along the strip as well. Check out the local rental places and classes for windsurfing, paddleboats, and kayaking too.

The VA Aquarium & Science Museum is pretty interesting. Motorworld (outdoor go-karting) and Ocean Breeze Fun Park (waterpark) aren't far either.

I live 1 city away. Va.Beach is a nice place, but I didnt find much to do for a week or anything but it makes a great weekend. Me and My wife got a hotel just for the weekend, and walked the beach, and did some shopping in the many-many-many strip shops. Plus you can get a bus ticket (Trollis) which run everywhere every 15 mins. their are museums and water parks and such they will drop you off at. You cant get lost, because all the trollis run the same path.  Plus you can pull the cord and they will stop anywhere for you to get off.  Almost at every other intersection they have a trolli pickup/dropoff, they only stop though if someone is at the stop or you pull the cord. If you get on one and sit on it, it takes about 25 mins to completely cirle back to the poiint you got on.  I hope this info helps.
