Whats something totally amazing to collect

Question

other than leaves, rocks, key chains, post cards, stamps, buttons and all the ''regular''' stuff, is there anything fun and cheap??

For many years I colected bottles of watter from sutch places as Pearl harbor, the Amazon river the Nile,anartic icecap, and probably over one hundred other locations around the globe.

I have a friend who collects dirt (yes...I said dirt) from each place that he visits. He stores them in little glass bottles (similar to airplane liquor bottles) and labels them by location.  At first I thought it was the dumbest thing in the world, but it's pretty cool to me now. I come back from trips with T-Shirts and misc. stuff, but he actually has a piece of earth from everywhere he's been.
