i think ive just found out what what i believe in.but what do you call someone who believes in deism.A deist?can someone help me out please and tell me how you pronounce it and what it mains beliefs are.thx =)

Deism is the belief that God plays a passive role in life, making laws for the universe to run under, but does not play a direct role in the universe or the lives of humans.

Deism is pronounced DEE - i - zm and Deist (you&#039;re correct) is DEE-ist

Deist&#039;s believe that their is some kin of supreme being though they disagree on what type of form it takes.  Some believe in a god that is a singular individual and some (like myself) believe it is more of a presence that exists everywhere.  Either way they believe this being made the universe and essentially let it go and does not take part in the lives of earthly beings.
