There are 2 big lakes here one being in Northern Ireland and the other in the south. The one in the upper part of the island is called Lough Neigh and the largest one in southern Ireland is called Lough Corrib.

Lough Neagh, as some people mentioned.  My family is form that area, and my cousins still live there.  One of the cousins took my brother jet skiiing on that lake, and he wind surfs on it too.

Lough Neagh is massive - but it's in Northern Ireland (in Ulster). The biggest lake in Europe is in Sweden or Russia depending on whether or not you count Russia as Europe!!
