Whats the 411 on limewire?

Is it legal? if its not legal why don't the authorities stop it??

will it give me viruses if i dowload it?

what are some legal sites that i can download songs from (for free preferably)

yes its legal; well i always use it. No it wont give you viruses. but if you want to download it than download 4.16.4 it doesn't charge you and don't EVER upgrade to pro it costs you alot. lime wire is safe to use :)

Yes, it's legal... and yes, it'll give you viruses.  I used to use Limewire, but it started to mess the computer up too much.  Your best bet is Frostwire.  It's the same exact thing as Limewire... but better and more updated.  It's wonderful for downloading video, pictures, songs, documents and programs.  I highly recommend Frostwire instead of Limewire.

Lime Wire is legal because you can download songs from it if you have a license to do so. The illegal part is downloading songs you haven't paid for, and the program itself will not give you viruses. When downloading from lime wire you are downloading from other peoples computers and if they have a virus and you download from then it is possible you can catch it.

Limewire is legal! I have it on my computer and it shouldn't give you viruses if you download it. Limewire is free, as long as you get the version that is, not the pro version.
