  1. You cannot enlist in the military if you drop out of high school. You need a high school diploma in order enlist in the military. The recruiters won't talk to you if you are high school drop out since this is a technically advance military and it is very hard to join with a GED. If you're 15 stay in school. The ASVAB determines if you're smart enough to join the military and what MOS (military jobs) you qualify for. The higher you score on the ASVAB, the more MOS you can get to choose. Some MOS require certain number of higher scores on the ASVAB. Good luck!

  2. Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (test) which is supposed to measure your "vocational aptitude," a job you will be good at...whether it be computers, mechanics, science, clerical, etc. The results can vary depending on your level of attention to detail during the test and your current knowledge. The test covers every subject, kind of like an SAT test. You will receive an overall score for the whole test and different scores for each area of the test. You can also go to about.com and look up ASVAB. It will go into greater detail as far as scores are concerned.

  3. The Armed Forces Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a test used to determine if a person qualifies for enlist and if so, what specilities they can enter.

  4. If you drop out of high school the military wont even think about taken you.EVERYONE has to take the ASVAB,I belive the lowest you can score is a 34 and then you will have to set up a appoinment to take it again after you study some more.

  5. Passing the ASVAB is a requirement for entry into any branch of the service. If you fail your recruiter can give you study materials and practice tests to help you. You can retake the test in 30 days, if you fail again, 30 days, after that it's 6 months. There are also study guides at book stores and might be one at your library.

I'm glad you're looking ahead and asking these questions now before you make a decision that could wreck your chances of getting in. Stay in school and keep looking ahead!

  6. Army Special Vehicles and  Armorred Batallion - special elite unit

  7. Depending on how you score is dependent upon the jobs that you are allowed to have. If you score to low then they wont find you competent and wont allow you to join. If you score high then there are a lot more jobs open to you because your more competent so you could do a larger variety of things.
