Well, it's a matter of opinion, but "Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy" seems to be a pretty good one.

The one where Jack Nicholsen is the President of the U.S. and aliens invade Washington D.C. There's this woman who glides around on the floor (evil) but she's not real and Jack bites the dust. Don't know what it's called.

if sci fi is actually science fiction...it doesn't have to be limited to aliens and outer space...

...then i would say Jurassic Park.  Not the 2nd or 3rd ones because those sucked, but the original kicked ***.
