  1. Royal and Carnival are the top competing two.

  2. Conde Nast has an annual ranking of the various cruise ships. Now having said this, the top ranked ships / cruise lines may not fit your needs or desires. I would look to see what you want out of a cruise and pick the ship / line based on this. Here's the ranking:

  3. That realy depent on what you want out of your cruise. Cruise lines are targeted toward different lifestyles. Some are for kids, some are family oriented, and some are just about partying it up. You can check out a wide variety of cruise options on my web page at www.MyTravelWithSteven.com

  4. I dint know the top 3, but i think Norwegian Cruise Lines are great!

  5. Princess

    Princess

    Princess

  6. Depends a lot on the passenger profile, but overall the best are:

    SILVERSEAS

    RADISON SEVEN SEAS

    SEABOURNE.

Both Silverseas and Seabourne are part of the Carnival Corp, but the ships are small, very high profile, excellent service.

To give you an idea, Carnival nowadays has a ratio of

    1 crew member x 3 passengers.

Silverseas ratio is 1 Crew x 1 pax.

Also it´s usualy all inclusive, and that includes the bars.

    Its a compleatly diferent level.

  7. That's actually not the question you should be asking-

The question you SHOULD be asking is which is the best cruise line for YOU.

Each line has different strong points and many target different types of travelers and different demographics.  Just as important is where do you want to go.  Some lines have better programs in some parts of the world than others.

For example if you're looking for a budget priced cruise which attracts a younger (25-35 and families) crowd then Carnival is the line to look at.

Are you very active and fancy yourself as an adventure traveler?  Then Royal Caribbean is the line for you, especially their larger ships which offer rock climbing walls, ice rinks, inline skating and similar activities onboard.

If you demand nothing but the best when you travel, and money is no option then you should look at a line like Silversea or Regent Seven Seas.

Are you looking for a truely unique cruise experience on ships that are like no other at sea?  Then you want to look at Windstar Cruises.

Want to go to Alaska - Then Princess and Holland America are great choices, they have fantastic programs in Alaska and have been sailing there longer than any of the other lines.

Not only that but on many lines, your experience may differ depending on the ship.

What you really need to do is talk with a travel agent that specializes in cruises.  They can work with you to match you with the line, itinerary, and ship that is the best fit for you and your budget.  I recommend Cruise Planners 888-286-9827 (www.mycruiseplanner.net).  They represent every CLIA certified cruise line and are extremely knowledgeable.  They can offer you the same pricing and itineraries as the big online sites, they don't charge any service fees, and you'll be working with a real live person who can research and answer all of your questions about cruising for you.

  8. If you hurry you can catch an amazing deal through Holland America or Princess to come to Alaska.  The cruises in the early season may-june carry a huge huge discount.

  9. 1. Carnival Cruise Lines

    2. Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines

    3. Princess Cruise Lines
