I drive a 06 hyundai sonata. In two years I will be entering a internship that will not allow me to get paid. I would like to get rid of they hyundai for something cheaper (but nice). My total pay off is 16,500 and car is worth 13,000 (appriased at carmax). Should I but a cheap suv? Get a lease? or Stick it out?

  1. if you don't live in the snowy areas, buy a motorcycle or moped or buy a morotized bike kit on ebay, or make your own bicycle engine

  2. You aren't going to find anything as nice as what you are driving for the amount of money you want to spend.  I suggest paying off the car over the next 2 years.  Now, if you won't need a car in 2 years, fine sell it in 2 years.  In 2 years the car will be worth more then you owe, currently you owe more then its worth, so you'd have to pull $3500 out of your pocket to unload the car and then have no car in return...what is the point of that unless you don't need a car?  To lease a new car you'd probably end up spending at least $10000 only a small savings over what you currently owe....what's the point of that?
